Brazil set to boom with 2016 Olympic Games!
With a thriving economy, rising tourism and the 2014 World Cup to be held here, there has never been a better time for investment in Brazil.
And now, news that the party capital, Rio de Janeiro is to host the 2016 Olympic Games means the only way is up!
According to the World Tourism Organisation, Brazilian tourism increased by 170% between 1995 – 2005 – three times the global average, and last year alone, tourism grew by a further 20%.
Now, with 2 of the biggest events in the world confirmed to be hosted here, those rates can only get higher and higher.
The boom in tourism means great things for Rio, with higher government spending to further improve all aspects of the city, and the rest of the country will benefit from this growth as Brazil is on track to become the 5th largest economy in the next 40 years.
All this to look forward to, means this really is a golden period for investors and many have already taken the plunge and are set to enjoy the continuing boom.

IT’S OFFICIAL! Liverpool Football Club sign agreement with our Caribbean Developer!
Well, its official! For some months now Worldwide Estates have been hearing rumours that Liverpool Football Club were about to form a collaboration with our prestigious Caribbean Developers and today we are proud to announce that one of Europe’s best loved Football Clubs have signed an agreement with Harlequin Hotels and Resorts to open Liverpool Football Soccer Schools throughout their Resorts in the Caribbean.
A number of representatives from LFC will be present at the Harlequin Hotels St Vincent Launch this Tuesday at the Grove Country House Hotel but at short notice we are unsure as yet who will be attending. It is the intention of Harlequin Hotels and Resorts and Liverpool Football Club to arrange an official launch later in 2009.
WIth Pat Cash, Gary Player, and now LFC on board, Worldwide Estates are even more confident that these fantastic freehold investment properties will continue to be even more successful and profitable for our investors.

TURKEY SET TO BE THE 3rd MOST POPULAR DESTINATION FOR UK TOURISTS THIS YEAR (Source ABTA and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Report - Feb 09).
The report shows that the number of UK visitors to Turkey was up a whopping 32% in 2008 and a further increase is predicted this year. Turkey has been placed 3rd top as the most popular holiday destination for Brits in 2009.
Yet to join the EU and so firmly outside the Eurozone, Turkey has been steadily building up a popular tourist industry for many years now and with its beautiful beaches, architecture, friendly locals and affordable food and drink its not difficult to see why.
The Turkish Ministry for Tourism logged a record number of visitors last year (no less than 26 million) and anticipates a further 10% increase on last years figures.
Tourism Minister Ertuğrul Günay said recently that Turkey can use the economic downturn to its advantage as the country has the benefit of its lira being at pretty much the same rate against sterling as it was a year ago.

Interest rates cut to 1%. Good news for homeowners, bad news for savers; great news for property investors.
The cut has meant great news for millions of homeowners who have seen their monthly mortgages payments fall dramatically. Over the past year, the average borrower with a £150,000 repayment mortgage has seen monthly bills drop to £565 (a massive reduction of £356, or almost two fifths).
Bad News for Savers
This news will not be welcomed by Savers, who vastly outnumber homeowners. These will suffer a further heavy blow to their fast-dwindling returns according to a report by The Times “The Bank’s move sparked immediate accusations that it was guilty of an “assault on savers”. A typical saver with a cash deposit of £50,000 faces a cut in annual interest earnings from £1,345 a year ago to as little as £155”
Time to capitialise for the Smart Investor
For smart investors however, it isn’t all bad news. The cut in interest rates means that investment property can be snapped up with extremely low mortgage payments. Buying in the right country, at the right time means that property investment will offer investors far greater returns than poor performing savings accounts for a much lower outlay.
